Dementia Training
Dementia Training gives healthcare professionals including frontline staff, training managers and care home managers knowledge about the condition of dementia and more confidence about caring for someone who has this condition. Through this course you will learn how best to support and care for dementia sufferers and their families with dignity and respect.
There are over 944,000 people living with Dementia in the UK. The attendee will gain knowledge of what dementia is and the different types of dementia. It covers early recognition and signs and symptoms to look out for. It is suitable for learners of all levels, including those who work in care home settings, medical settings or simply relatives who are looking after a family member with the condition at home.
People living with dementia suffer a severe decline in mental ability such as short term memory and concentration, communication language and impaired critical and thinking skills and therefore, they need high levels of care to help them cope with their everyday lives.
