Level 2 Falls Prevention Awareness
Fall Prevention Awareness is ideal for anyone working with in the health and social care sector and for those who have contact with older people who are more susceptible to falls. Falls represent the most frequent and serious type of accident in people aged 65 and over, with 10,000 falls happening each day. An increasing number of people in the UK suffer serious injuries from falls every year.
This course will ensure that the learner is aware of the causes of falls so that they can determine when a person is at greater risk. Delegates will learn about the effects of falls both physical and psychological. They will also learn as well ways that they can help those who have fallen as this often has both a physical and mental impact, as they can result in lack of confidence, isolation, fractures and broken bones.

ELIGIBILITY
- Age 19+
- Applicants aged between 19 – 23 must hold a prior level 2 or above qualification in any subject except the subject they wish to apply for.
- Applicants over 23 do not need any entry qualifications
- Lives in England
- British Citizen or have been living within the EU for 3 years for purposes other than study
- Able to supply ID at induction
- Provide residency evidence if not a British citizen
