Manual Handling Training Level 2
This Manual Handling training course is ideal for anyone who moves heavy loads as part of their role and will benefit all employees, so that they understand the risks associated with manual handling and apply the principles of safer handling to their work.
Any job that involves heavy labour or manual material handling may include a high risk for injury on the job. Manual material handling entails lifting, but also usually includes climbing, pushing, pulling, and pivoting, all of which pose the risk of injury. The most commonly reported workplace accidents and illness involved injuries are caused by not being aware of basic manual handling techniques.
Although manual handling training is often carried out online there are significant advantages to classroom training. Firstly, manual handling is a practical activity and both good and poor techniques are best demonstrated with hands on practical session with attendees being involved. (This cannot be done online). Attendees will get to practice with assessments and demonstrate best posture and stance as well as how to optimise their centre of gravity to best effect.
