Mental Capacity Act Training & DOLS
Our Mental Capacity Act Training and DoLS ((Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) Awareness course will give the employees in Health and Social care a full understanding of how to protect the interests of individual people in their care who may or may not be able to give their own consent and therefore, may not be able to protect their own interests.
This Mental Capacity Act & DoLS training course is suitable for anyone working with or with a duty of care for vulnerable adults. The course will teach employees what is meant by mental capacity and the five core principles of the Act.
The course provides a background to the Mental Capacity Act and its relationship to DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard), and of how those working within the care sector can ensure compliance. It is therefore essential for those working within a health and social care environment with individuals who may lack the capacity in order to protect the individual’s interests. The course is suitable for all levels of care staff.
