Mental Health Awareness
Mental Health Awareness is designed to raise awareness of the Mental Health Act of 1983 and the amendments made in 2007. This course aims to raise awareness of mental health, and to understand and recognise the causes, symptoms and support options for a range of common and less-common mental health problems. This training course is one of the key ways of changing the experience of people affected by poor mental health in the UK.
Our Mental Health Awareness training is aimed at the Health and Social Care sector and will highlight key aspects of this legislation, which affects all staff who work within a hospital or care setting, as well as some common mental health conditions which may require the Act to be implemented. Any misconceptions in relation to mental health and ‘sectioning’ will also be addressed to gain a well-rounded understanding of the Act and its impacts.
It is delivered over 3 hours at your venue with dates and times to suit your staff. On completion the delegate will receive certification.
