Level 2 Dignity and Safeguarding Adults in Health & Social Care
This Level 2 in Dignity and Safeguarding Adults in Health and Social care is aimed at the the Health and Social Care sector to allow for understanding of safeguarding, dignity, duty of care, and public concerns as applied to adult health and social care. You will investigate the principles and how they are applied in everyday work contexts. You will also have an opportunity to examine the dilemmas and consequences that can arise when these principles are not upheld.
A total of 103,900 safeguarding reports about vulnerable adults were referred in 2014/2015. The responsibilities of care workers involved in protecting the health, well-being and human rights of individuals are far-reaching. Allowing individuals to live free from harm, abuse and neglect can often mean involving health agencies, government departments or the police. Understanding the fundamentals of safeguarding is essential for anyone working in adult health and social care.
COURSE CONTENT

ELIGIBILITY
- Age 19+
- Applicants aged between 19 – 23 must hold a prior level 2 or above qualification in any subject except the subject they wish to apply for.
- Applicants over 23 do not need any entry qualifications
- Lives in England
- British Citizen or have been living within the EU for 3 years for purposes other than study
- Able to supply ID at induction
- Provide residency evidence if not a British citizen
