Level 2 Workplace Violence and Harassment
Workplace violence and Harassment can have huge consequences for employers, employees and the work environment. The Trades Union Congress (TUC) estimates that 29% of people have been bullied at work, and more than 1 in 3 people who report being bullied leave their job because of workplace violence and harassment. Understanding about effective communication and ways to reduce conflict in the workplace will help to create a more positive working environment, benefiting both employers and employees, and improving job satisfaction, health and well-being, and productivity.
COURSE CONTENT
- How to contribute to a positive and safe working environment
- How to reduce and effectively deal with violence in the workplace
- Understanding aggression, bullying and harassment in the workplace and how it can be prevented
- Understanding equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the benefits to individuals and organisations
ELIGIBILITY
- Age 19+
- Applicants aged between 19 – 23 must hold a prior level 2 or above qualification in any subject except the subject they wish to apply for.
- Applicants over 23 do not need any entry qualifications
- Lives in England
- British Citizen or have been living within the EU for 3 years for purposes other than study
- Able to supply ID at induction
- Provide residency evidence if not a British citizen

What You Will Learn
- Understand how organisational policies and procedures can contribute to creating a positive and safe working environment, in addition to understanding their own responsibilities and limitations.

- Understand workplace violence and the possible causes of violence in the workplace, how to reduce the risk of workplace violence and reporting procedures to follow when workplace violence occurs.
- Understand aggressive behaviour, bullying and harassment in the workplace.
- Understand techniques to de-escalate aggressive behaviour and outline the impact that aggressive communications can have on the workplace.
- Understand quality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This will include current workplace legislation and how individual rights are protected.
