I would just like to say thank you for the Paediatric First Aid course that you laid on for us in July.  The course was very clear, precise, easy to understand and contained all the information that was required and more.  As a group of childminders who are self-employed the cost of the course was also very reasonable in comparison to what I had been quoted from other companies which of course was one of the important factors.  I would definitely recommend your course to others.  Thank you again.

Hi Nicole and team,

I completed my paediatric first aid course yesterday with Jean McLean and I just wanted to say it was amazing and the best first aid course I’ve ever done! I really feel confident and it was really fun too!

I’ll definitely recommend you guys to anyone!

Jess Jones (childminder)

Hi Nicole, I hope you are well.

My name is Samantha Pearce and I did your Paediatric First Aid course in January of this year and 3 years previously.

I’m emailing you today to inform you of what I just experienced and to give you the biggest thank you I could possibly give. Your training really did stick with me and give me the knowledge and skills I needed in the worse moment of my entire life.

On Thursday morning at around 6.30am I was woken up by my mum screaming for help. She had been woken up by my dad making a strange noise. (My mum is such a light sleeper and often wakes to my dad making odd snoring noises so gives him a poke – for this I am grateful)
She had thought that he was having a stroke because his face wasn’t right and had immediately called 999 and shouted for help. When dashed in the bedroom my sister was trying to talk to him and started screaming that he wasn’t breathing. Still being half asleep I stood there in a daze for a moment. The people on the phone told my mum he needed to be on the floor on his back. From then on something just clicked in my brain and I was able to get moving! Once the three of us were able to lift him from the bed onto the floor I remembered the video you showed us of the guy on the beach agonal gasping and realised this was the noise my dad was making. My mum and sister were relieved because they thought he was breathing – I knew he wasn’t and began CPR. I don’t think it was perfect and looking back now the panic is over I know how I could have done certain things differently, but my mum told me afterwards he went from very grey to pink very quickly so what I did was enough. Not only was it enough – it worked.

The first response paramedic was with us extremely quickly but had me continue CPR until the others arrived – all 4 or 5 of them! We overheard on different occasions since then that they did 7 or 8 rounds with the defibrillator. It worked!
My dad was rushed off in the ambulance and was put in intensive care sedated and on ice as we weren’t sure how long his brain was without oxygen. Friday (yesterday) lunchtime they decided to bring him round as he was now breathing on his own.

To me he has gone from basically dead to sitting there chatting in about 30 hours or so. Everyone keeps telling me how well I did, my sister actually said to me yesterday “how does it feel to know you saved his life?” I just can’t believe it.

So again. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Without your training, without that video I really don’t think my dad would be with us today.
I will be telling everyone and anyone to do some form of first aid training and I will definitely be mentioning your name. Please feel free to share our story because your stories helped and taught me.

Thank you, Sami

Hello Nicole,
I wanted to thank you for running the first aid course on the 16th and 23rd of January in Banbury. It is one of the best courses that I have attended throughout my years of working in childcare. It gave me the confidence to deal with an incident on Thursday with a child in my care. He had a seizure for the first time ever and I dealt with it instantly. I definitely feel that it was from your course that I managed to deal with this. Everyone said how calm I seemed to be at the time even though I felt that I was panicking. It’s amazing what you can do when a situation like this happens.
Thank you once again and I will hopefully see you in a few years when my first aid is due for renewal.

Thank you, Rebecca Clear

Good afternoon,
My name is Sophie Thomas and I have been privileged to have just completed your Paediatric First Aid Course with instructor Steve Bagnall.
Steve has really been such an inspiration. I am extremely grateful for the delivery of the First Aid Course I have attended today, and part 1 on the 2nd of June. The course was delivered to an exceptional standard, has most definitely been the best course I have attended, and has not only had this impact on me – but on every attendee I managed to speak to today. The course exceeded my expectations and has inspired me to want (in the best way possible) someone fall down in front of me and need my help – because I feel confident I would be able to assist them and keep them alive until trained professionals had taken over the situation. I would want anyone to do the same for me.

I am writing this email to you as I did not feel the box on the feedback form was big enough for me to fully show my appreciation to Steve, so if this could please also be forwarded to him that would be much appreciated.

Steve had such an engaging way of delivering the course. His enthusiasm and dedication to his job really showed and he was always more than happy to answer and discuss any questions the group had. I seemed to keep asking more and more questions because it was kept so interesting.
Steve is a credit to you and in fact, even since finishing the course 2 hours ago I have:

– Recommended your company to a Facebook group of 41 local Nannys (I hope this is okay!)
– Told my landlord & boyfriend separately what a good course it has been
– & written a Facebook status about how inspirational it was and how I want to go and save a life!

So thank you again so much, and a specificly to Steve.
I will continue to reccomend you to others and I hope to use your company again in the future.

Many thanks, Sophie Thomas

Hi Nicole, just wanted to say a big thank you for the first aid course. Having previously done about 4 first aid courses I can definitely say that you are the best and I will be returning in 3 yrs time!
Lovely to meet you and thank you again, all the best with everything.
Rachel Hopkins – 12hr Paediatric Course

The course content was very informative without any medical jargon. This made it easy to follow and remember key points. The practical side of the course was also very good and we got hands on practise on both days of the course. The course instructor was extremely pleasant and professional. She also added a fun element and personal experiences which made it more real and easy to retain information. The course booklet is concise and also easy to use as a reference. I highly recommend this course!

Nicole came to us to deliver a Paediatric 12 hour First Aid course. From the outset Nicole put everyone at ease with her friendly personality; her delivery of the course was clear and concise with excellent presentations. Everyone felt they could ask questions which Nicole answered in depth. The course was thoroughly enjoyed by all our staff, who expressed that they would now feel confident to administer First Aid if the situation arose I would recommend Nicole to anyone who wishes to book a First Aid course; in fact we have already booked our next one!
Bishopswood Day Nursery Ltd, Gallowstree Common

Fast Response PFA gave us a Half Day Annual Refresher and a 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course. We highly rate the overall course, quality of presentation and their ability to present the course and answer questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the course and at the same time found it value for money. We would recommend Fast Response PFA and will re-book in the future. Overall we now feel confident to carry out First Aid should the situation arrive.
St Gabriel’s School, Newbury

Our 12 hour Paediatric First Aid was tailored around our needs and our hours as a nursery. The content was made very clear and accessible and all team members felt involved and able to follow the course. Everyone was able to understand the instructor and felt comfortable asking her questions. The team would now feel confident in their abilities to carry out first aid should the need arise having had plenty of hands on experience throughout the course. As the course was so successful and represented good value for money we are now looking at booking refresher courses for our staff for next year and will be doing so with Fast Response PFA.
Sarah Rotundo, Nursery Manager, Little Monkeys Nursery Windsor Park

Emergency First Aid at Work 6 hours: The course was well organized, and delivered in a very relaxed and comfortable environment. Our facilitator, Nicole Miller appreciated and valued all our members of staff  as individuals; adjusting very well to their learning styles and speeds. Nicole  was listening and responding to our concerns and showed personal enthusiasm for what she was teaching. There is a consistency in the approach and a genuine interest in developing an understanding of the emergency/ work place first aid procedures. She was well aware of when to move to next section, when to stop and go back over things and when to accelerate the pace of learning. She  encouraged all staff  to work collaborately and independently. It was a great experience combined with curiosity, learning and fun.
I feel confident I could now deal with most emergencies, using the skills and techniques so excellently delivered by Nicole Miller. Her delivery and teaching style was superb and just right for people who would need to know First Aid in the work Place.
The course was extremely good value and we found no one else who could beat or even match the course price.
We would recommend Fast response and PFA and will be re booking when needed.

Alix George, Director of Graham White & Co, Old Woking, Surrey

The Paediatric First Aid 6 hour Course run by Fast Response was both informative and insightful.  The course covered all aspects of baby, child and adult first aid. As new mums the content covered has given us the practical experience, techniques, information and confidence to be able to carry out first aid should it be needed.
The presentation and pace of the course was excellent and the relaxed and informal environment enabled us to ask any questions.
I would highly recommend attending a first aid course run by first response PFA. The cost was great value for money.

Dear Nicole
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to attend the Paediatric First Aid Course 12hrs.

I really enjoyed the course. It was done in an interesting way and it taught me a lot. I very much appreciate the practical exercises and I think that my mistake in diagnosis has brought me great experience. You were very patient and explained everything clearly and also in fun way.
