It is a statutory duty for childcare providers to have due regard to prevent children drawn into terrorism. This involves identifying vulnerable children, intervening early, and ensuring staff are trained to recognize and respond to potential signs of radicalization along with collaboration with other organizations, such as local authorities, police, and other agencies to effectively address the Prevent Duty. 

Early years providers should conduct a risk assessment to identify potential vulnerabilities in their setting and develop a plan to mitigate those risks and should have robust IT policies in place to protect children from harmful online content that may promote extremist ideologies.
