Health and Safety Executive First Aid Update
Health and Safety Executive First Aid Update
Due to the latest Health and Safety Executive First Aid update, as a leading first aid training provider we are committed to ensuring that face-to-face first aid training resumes in a way that is safe for our employees and students alike. The Health and Safety Executive have advised that now is NOT the time for face-to-face training to resume unless deemed essential such as provision of training to key workers.
We remain committed to ensuring that first aid training will be available to employers when it is safe to do so and to help employers meet their health and safety first aid requirements. We intend to provide an update based upon the anticipated announcement from the UK government in relation to the indicative changes in lockdown conditions in England from the 1st June at which point we will set out our position for the safe return to training in line with the prevailing government advice. We will continue to review the relevant guidance and information and work to find consensus on the best way forward as the UK government and devolved administrations respond to changes in the outbreak.
Please find below an update on the Health and Safety Executive guidance on further extension of first aid certificate validity during the Coronavirus outbreak of which a further extension is given on certificates that expired after the 16th March 2020.
Please also find below under section 6.2 the guidelines for The Early Year Foundation Stage regarding First Aid requirements.
